Quick Answer: The huupe mini 2 ($499 on sale, list $799) is the huupe to buy for most families. It is an over-the-door mini hoop with a Full HD screen backboard, camera-free shot tracking and streaming apps, so treat it as a game console rather than a training hoop. For a real driveway hoop, the in-ground huupe ARENA 60 ($2,995) pairs a 60x36-inch, 3/8-inch tempered-glass board with LED make/miss lights. But its tracking sensor ships 8 to 16 weeks after the hoop, and it carries a 1-year warranty. If you already own a 44- to 72-inch clear backboard, the $699 ARENA Upgrade Kit adds the same sensor and lights to your hoop.
Published October 29, 2026. Prices, specs, warranty terms and plan prices come from huupe.com’s own product pages, FAQ, user manuals, delivery and install guides and Terms and Conditions, all checked the same day. Goalrilla and Silverback prices come from goalrilla.com the same day. We found no huupe recall in the CPSC recall database.
Most people searching “huupe” picture the viral version: a full-size hoop whose backboard is a giant TV screen. That model, the huupe PRO, is still on huupe’s site, but at $17,995 and marked unavailable. Its page offers only a Contact Sales button. The huupe lineup you can buy in 2026 is different. It has a mini hoop with a screen, and full-size hoops that swap the screen for LED lights plus a sensor hub. (The company writes its name in lowercase, so we do too.) Here’s what each one is, what it costs, and the fine print huupe’s own documents contain.

Every price above except the PRO’s is a sale price against a higher “regular price” on huupe.com. We found no huupe listing sold by huupe on Amazon. Retailers including Abt and Kohl’s list the mini 2 at about the same $499.
1. huupe mini 2: Best for Kids and Game Rooms
huupe mini 2
- The backboard is a Full HD screen that runs dozens of shooting games, plus streaming apps such as YouTube, ESPN, Disney+ and NBA League Pass. Your own streaming subscriptions are not included.
- huupe says its AI sensors track every shot, and where it was taken from, with 99%+ accuracy, using no cameras.
- Ships with door hooks, a breakaway rim and net, a pro-grip mini ball and pump, a Bluetooth remote, and a USB-C charger. Battery-powered, with 20% longer battery life than the original mini, per huupe.
- A VESA wall-mount kit is $49.99 extra if you'd rather not hang it on a door.
Replacement nets, backboard pads, and a fresh outdoor ball shipped free in two days — try Amazon Prime free for 30 days. The mini 2 is the cheapest way into huupe, and at $499 it costs less than the original huupe mini’s $799 list price. Think of it as a game console you play by shooting, not as a smaller version of a driveway hoop. huupe’s mini 2 user manual says that for shot tracking you should use “ONLY the huupe ball and net. Generic balls and nets will not be tracked.” So the mini can’t track your real basketball. Extra mini balls are $19.99 (pro-grip) or $24.99 (silent) on huupe.com. If you only want a dunkable over-the-door hoop, a non-smart mini from our best mini basketball hoop guide does that for a fraction of the price.
2. huupe arcade 2: Best If the Kids Hate Chasing the Ball
huupe arcade 2
- Bundles the mini 2 with huupe's freestanding rebound frame, so the ball rolls back to the shooter. The mini hangs over the top of the frame with its door hooks.
- Only $100 more than the mini 2 alone. The rebound system costs $199 on its own, so the bundle is the better deal.
- The arcade 2X ($1,198) pairs two complete setups for side-by-side games.
For a game room without a spare door, the arcade 2 is the easier setup. A conventional two-hoop electronic arcade game costs far less, but it only counts makes. It has no screen, no idea where you shot from, and no online games.
3. huupe ARENA Upgrade Kit: Best Value If You Already Own a Hoop
huupe ARENA Upgrade Kit
- Adds the ARENA's smart sensor hub and LED perimeter lights (green for a make, red for a miss) to a hoop you already own. The light kit for your board size (44-54", 60" or 72") is currently included free.
- huupe says it fits "most glass, acrylic, and polycarbonate backboards 44 - 72 inches". Check huupe's compatibility guide for your model first.
- IP65 weatherproof rating, runs on standard 120V AC power, and works with any ball.
- Ships in 3 to 7 business days, and huupe says it's a DIY install.
This is the most useful product in huupe’s 2026 lineup. If you already have a 54- or 60-inch glass hoop like the Goalrilla GS54C or GS60C, $699 gets you the same tracking and lights as the ARENA. You keep your hoop’s longer warranty and skip the concrete work. The kit also ships months sooner than the tracking hardware on a new ARENA (see the next section). huupe lists the sensor hub alone at $699 too, so the free lights are the real discount.
4. huupe ARENA 60 and 72: The Smart In-Ground Hoop, With a Wait
huupe ARENA 60" / 72" In-Ground
- 60" model: 60" x 36" board, 5" x 5" pole, 7.5-10 ft adjustment, 3 ft overhang at 10 ft, 280 lbs total. 72" model: 72" x 42" board, 6" x 6" pole, 7.8-10 ft, 4 ft overhang, 425 lbs.
- Both have a breakaway rim, a 9" x 9" anchor kit, pole and backboard pads, and full 72-hour galvanization plus e-coat and powder coat, per huupe's spec table.
- Needs a 120V outlet. huupe's FAQ says a 1,000W+ power station with a 100W solar panel also works. No home Wi-Fi is needed, because the app connects over Bluetooth and uses your phone's data.
- huupe's own page tags both ARENA in-ground hoops "EARLY ACCESS".
On paper the ARENA 60 is a real glass in-ground hoop, not a gadget on a toy pole. huupe’s own comparison table sets it against the Goalrilla CV60 ($2,849.95) and the Pro Dunk THOR Gold ($2,399), and the board and pole specs line up. The catch is in huupe’s delivery page. “The huupe Smart Sensor — our technology that brings the hoop to life — will ship separately 8–16 weeks after your full size basketball hoop arrives.” So for two to four months you own a $2,995 hoop without its smart features. The Upgrade Kit ships in 3 to 7 business days.
Install is a real project. Residential delivery is curbside only, on a pallet weighing up to 900 lbs. huupe’s install guide calls for an 18 x 18-inch hole, 48 inches deep, with 11 bags of 80-lb concrete and a 72-hour cure. huupe doesn’t install hoops itself, but it links to local installers. Our in-ground installation guide explains that process.
ARENA 60 vs. a plain glass hoop plus the Upgrade Kit
| Setup | Board | Hoop warranty | Tracking arrives | Total price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| huupe ARENA 60 | 60" x 36" tempered glass | 1 year (huupe FAQ) | 8-16 weeks after the hoop | $2,995 |
| Goalrilla GS60C + Upgrade Kit | 60" tempered glass | Limited lifetime, glass included (Goalrilla) | 3-7 business days | $2,748.95 |
| Silverback SBX 60 + Upgrade Kit | 60" tempered glass | 5-year limited (Silverback) | 3-7 business days | $1,573.95 (SBX 60 on sale) |
| Goalrilla CV60 (no tracking) | 60" tempered glass | Limited lifetime (Goalrilla) | None | $2,849.95 |
Goalrilla prices are from goalrilla.com on October 29, 2026: GS60C $2,049.95, SBX 60 $874.95 on sale (list $1,274.95), CV60 $2,849.95. Before you order, confirm your exact board is on huupe’s compatibility list. Those combos assume it is. For the plain hoops on their own, see our best 60-inch basketball hoop guide and best 72-inch basketball hoop guide.
5. huupe ARENA Portable 44”: Check the Base Before You Buy
huupe ARENA Portable 44"
- Five rim heights (8, 8.5, 9, 9.5 and 10 ft) set with a quick-lift handle, a 17.72-inch steel rim, and a rebound plate at the base.
- HDPE base measuring 43.31 x 27.56 x 5.12 inches. It holds up to 122.8 lbs of water, and huupe recommends up to 110.2 lbs of extra weight on top.
- 77.2 lbs net, with DIY assembly in 30 to 60 minutes with two people, per huupe.
The base is the weak spot. Water weighs about 8.34 lbs per gallon, so huupe’s 122.8-lb water capacity works out to roughly 14.7 gallons. That is about half the 27-gallon base on the $159.99 Lifetime Pro Court 44. That’s why huupe tells you to stack cinder blocks or weights on top. If the tracking is the point, a portable hoop from our best portable basketball hoop guide plus the $699 Upgrade Kit costs about the same and puts more weight in the base.
The huupe PRO: Still Listed, Not Really for Sale
The huupe PRO is the hoop from the viral videos. Its 60” x 42” backboard is a Full HD, 60 fps screen with 30W stereo speakers, on a 6” x 6” pole or a 3-point indoor wall mount. huupe’s store data lists it at $17,995 with every version marked unavailable. Both PRO pages swap the buy button for “Contact Sales”. huupe’s PRO FAQ says its tracking is “99.99% accurate in optimal lighting conditions”. It also warns that “if it is too dark outside, the huupe PRO can physically not see the ball as well and shot tracking will be compromised”. For a home driveway in 2026, the ARENA or the Upgrade Kit is the realistic way into huupe.
What the subscription really costs
Every huupe works without a subscription. Paid tiers unlock advanced stats (2-point, 3-point and free-throw percentages, shot and rim charts), AI form analysis, every workout, and prize challenges. The problem is that huupe’s own pages quote different prices:
| Plan | Price on huupe's plan table | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | Total field goals, data storage, full LED control, 1 stat video, 1 workout and 1 challenge per month |
| Solo Family | $24.99/month or $199/year | 5 accounts, advanced shot tracking, shot and rim charts, AI coach, all challenges and workouts |
| Teams | $49.99/month + $20 per hoop, or $399/year + $20 per hoop | 10 admin accounts per device, 15 players each, LED shot clock and scorekeeping |
| huupe mini Daily Prize Challenge | $7.99/month | Entry to the daily 3-point streak contest |
On the same Upgrade Kit page and in its ARENA FAQ, huupe says “huupe + is $9.99 per month”. The Upgrade Kit page also offers the first 6 months free as a limited-time deal. Check which price applies at checkout. huupe’s terms say membership fees are non-refundable. The mini’s Daily Prize Challenge pays $10 to first place, $3 to second and $2 to third, with no prize on a tie. A month of entry costs $7.99, so it’s a game, not a side income.
The fine print worth reading before you buy
- Warranty: huupe’s Terms and Conditions cover the huupe mini and huupe PRO for 12 months from delivery, and accessories for only 15 days. The warranty is not transferable. The ARENA FAQ lists a standard 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Goalrilla, by comparison, states a limited lifetime warranty on the GS60C, including the glass. Our basketball hoop warranty guide covers what those lifetime warranties exclude.
- Screen scratches: the terms say “any scratches on the huupe mini screen or polycarbonate are not a defect eligible for returns,” because the mini is designed to be played on.
- Dunking on the mini: the FAQ says “Light dunking is ok”. The mini 2 manual says “Do not attempt to dunk or hang from the rim”. Follow the manual.
- Refunds: huupe refunds the price paid “minus any credit card fees or processing fees incurred by huupe”.
- Track record: huupe says it has sold more than 40,000 units and that its earliest huupe PROs still work after 5+ years. Those are huupe’s own figures, not independently verified.
Cheaper ways to get most of the fun
SKLZ Pro Mini Hoop
- Our top pick in the best mini basketball hoop guide: a breakaway steel rim and shatter-resistant board that can take real dunks, which the huupe mini manual rules out.
- No screen, no tracking, no subscription.
Samshow LED Electronic Scoreboard
- Our top pick in the best basketball hoop scoreboard guide. It adds a shot clock and game timer to any driveway hoop. huupe's plan table lists its LED shot clock and scorekeeping under the $49.99/month Teams plan.
- It doesn't track shots. Someone has to keep score with the remote.
Who should buy which huupe
- Kids who’d otherwise be on a game console: the mini 2 at $499, or the arcade 2 at $599 if you have no free door. It’s also one of the bigger-ticket ideas in our basketball gift ideas guide.
- You already have a 44- to 72-inch clear-board hoop: the $699 Upgrade Kit. Same tracking as the ARENA, faster shipping, and you keep your current warranty.
- You’re pouring a new in-ground hoop anyway and want it all from one brand: the ARENA 60 at $2,995. Expect the sensor 8 to 16 weeks after the hoop, and a 1-year warranty.
- You care about rebound quality more than stats: a plain glass hoop from our best in-ground basketball hoop guide. You can always add the Upgrade Kit later.
The bottom line
The huupe mini 2 ($499) is the easiest huupe to recommend. It’s a well-equipped smart-screen mini hoop at a lower price than the original’s list, as long as you buy it as a game console. On the full-size side, the $699 ARENA Upgrade Kit is the better value than the $2,995 ARENA 60. Put it on a glass hoop with a longer warranty, and the tracking arrives in days instead of 8 to 16 weeks. Skip the ARENA Portable 44 unless you’re happy to stack weights on its 14.7-gallon base. And ignore the $17,995 huupe PRO. It’s still listed, but you can’t simply add it to your cart.
